Texas Hog Dispatch — Privacy Policy

Texas Hog Dispatch (“we,” “us,” “our”) is building a regional platform to connect Houston-area landowners with independent feral hog control operators. We are pre-launch.

This policy covers the website at texashogdispatch.com in its current pre-launch form: an informational page, two email notification signup forms, and an unsubscribe page. There is no login, no user account, no payment processing, and no dispatch service operating yet. When the platform launches, we will update this policy before collecting information beyond what is described here.

Our signup forms request:

• Email address (required)
• Name (optional)
• County or service area (optional, on the operator list only)

Those are all the fields our signup forms request and store as structured signup information. The forms do not request your phone number, mailing or property address, payment or financial information, government identification, Social Security number, driver’s license, insurance or licensing documents, health information, precise geolocation, or any account password. The site has no login and no user accounts. Please do not enter sensitive information in a free-text field or send it to us by email.

Separately, if you email us directly, that message may contain whatever the sender chooses to include. We receive and retain what you send us.

Like any website, ours is delivered by hosting infrastructure that processes technical request information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, and error details. Our email delivery infrastructure likewise processes delivery events such as sends, bounces, and complaints.

This processing supports website delivery, security, abuse prevention, error reporting, diagnostics, and email delivery. We do not use this information for advertising or behavioral profiling.

• To send you a confirmation email after you sign up.
• To notify you when Texas Hog Dispatch launches in your area, and to send occasional launch-related updates.
• To respond to messages you send us.
• To keep the site available, secure, and working correctly.
• To honor unsubscribe requests and other privacy requests.

We use third-party providers to host the website, store signup records in a managed database, and deliver email from our sending domain.

These providers process information to host and secure the site, maintain the database, diagnose technical problems, and deliver email, subject to the applicable service agreements and privacy terms governing those services.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. We do not use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

We do not currently share landowner information with operators, or operator information with landowners. If that changes when dispatch launches, we will update this policy and describe the sharing before it happens.

We may disclose information if required by law, valid legal process, or a government request; to protect our rights, safety, or property or that of others; to investigate fraud or abuse; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply until replaced.

We do not use analytics tools, advertising networks, tracking pixels, session-recording tools, or non-essential cookies on this site. We have not added third-party tracking code. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third-party font service.

• Signup records are kept while you remain subscribed, so we can notify you at launch.
• When you unsubscribe, we clear the optional details you gave us — your name and your county or service area.
• We keep the minimum needed to honor the unsubscribe itself: your normalized email address, the unsubscribe token, and the unsubscribe timestamp. This suppression record exists so we do not email you again.
• Direct email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle the matter and for ordinary recordkeeping.
• Infrastructure logs and email delivery records are retained by our providers on their own schedules, which we do not individually control.

Signup records are stored in a managed database that is not readable from the public website; the site cannot list or expose the signup list to visitors. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Every launch-related or promotional email we send to subscribers includes an unsubscribe link. Using it stops further launch and promotional email to that address and clears the optional details described in Section 9.

You can also email ops@texashogdispatch.com and ask to be removed, and we will do it manually.

You can ask us to confirm whether we hold information about you, provide a copy of it, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email ops@texashogdispatch.com with your request and the address you signed up with.

We handle these requests manually and will respond within a reasonable time, and within any timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to confirm you control the email address in question before acting. Deletion requests are honored except for the minimal suppression record described in Section 9, which we keep so we do not email you again; you may ask us to delete that too, with the understanding that we then have no record preventing a future send.

Our signup forms are not designed to request sensitive personal information, precise geolocation, biometric data, health information, government identification, or financial-account information. Please do not submit such information through a free-text field or by email.

Texas residents. Where the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act applies to us, Texas residents may have the right to confirm whether we process their personal data, access and obtain a copy of it, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. As described above, we do not sell personal data, engage in targeted advertising, or use personal data for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

To exercise a privacy right, contact ops@texashogdispatch.com. Regardless of whether the Act presently applies to us, we will accept and process access, correction, deletion, and opt-out requests as described in Section 12.

If we decline a request, you may appeal that decision by replying to our response. We will review the appeal and inform you of our decision. Where applicable law requires it, a denied appeal will include information about contacting the Texas Attorney General.

This site is intended for adult property owners and operators. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, email ops@texashogdispatch.com and we will delete it.

We operate in Texas and this site is intended for users in the United States. Our hosting and email providers may process information in facilities outside your state.

The site links to external destinations including our social media profiles and the Hog Watch Tracker. Those destinations have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not govern them.

We will update this policy as the platform develops — in particular before dispatch launches and before we collect anything beyond what is described here. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Questions: ops@texashogdispatch.com.
